pessimism
Pessimism, from the Latin pessimus (worst), is a state of mind in which one perceives life negatively.
Why are people so pessimistic!? I want to live my life inspiring others to love their own life. Has it become a social construct to think so negatively of people and the world itself? I just don’t understand why we perpetuate the mindset that people will not live up to their expectations....

my name has a hyphen
i hate that people disregard the hyphen in my first name thinking that it’s simply “thien”. i don’t understand how anyone could ignore the little dash between thien and khanh. what idiots. dictionary.com defines hyphen as “a short line (-) used to CONNECT the parts of a compound word”. so get with the program people…the name is thien-khanh, not just thien....

hell week is over
hell week is the week that consists of every courses’ exam. from the 10th to the 19th, i had 4 exams and 2 quizzes! on top of that, i worked twice. i was exhausted by the end of the 19th, but still had the energy to win an intermural football game with my classmates. afterwards, i went to a friend’s house to watch shaun of the dead, drink a couple rum and cokes, and bake cupcakes....

snow day
